Please join us in our mission to improve our environment through education, public awareness and community involvement. Your tax-deductible membership gift to Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful will go directly towards supporting and expanding these vital programs:
RECYCLING: Our volunteer-run Recycling Center provides the only recycling service available to residents living in unincorporated Winnebago County. Our Christmas Tree Recycling Program chips over 30,000 trees into mulch each year.
METALS & CLOTHING DRIVES: Our recycling drives, held five times a year, divert valuable resources from local landfills for reuse.
LITTER PREVENTION & CLEANUP: Our Great American Cleanup projects involve hundreds of local volunteers and ensure that the places we live and work stay clean and healthy.
ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION: Our Environmental Education Program reaches thousands of students each year and meets the School Code of Illinois requirement for environmental instruction.
As a member of KNIB, in addition to supporting local environmental efforts, you will receive four annual newsletters with important event information, a copy of our annual report, and invitations to attend our special events. Your input is also important to us, and will help us shape our programming.
To become a new member or to renew your membership a minimum of $25.00 is required.
