Accepting the following items, at both locations, every Saturday:
Clothing, shoes, leather goods, other textiles (bagged – no hangers or boxes)
Electronics, games, cell phones, etc. Computers and most peripherals,
keyboards, scanners, printers Appliances, large and small.

Not acceptingTVs, computer monitors or items containing Freon,
Paint of any kind, chemicals or hazardous waste
Northern Illinois’ only all-volunteer recycling program, in continuous operation snce July, 1990,
the Recycling Center is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon (unless the wind chill is below zero.)
|Glass||Food and beverage containers only, Must be clean.||Broken glass, light bulbs, drinking glasses, cookware, tableware|
|Aluminum||Cans, clean foil, pie plates. Without food residue||Foil with food on it|
|Tin/Steel||Food cans only||Aerosol, paint cans|
|Plastic||Bottles coded #1 & #2. Must have “necks and shoulders”, 6 pack rings||Automotive fluid containers, pails, buckets, Items coded #3, #4, #5, #6, #7|
|Paper/Chipboard(in paper bags)||Newspapers, magazines, junk mail, computer paper, phone books, paper bags, chipboard (cereal & cracker boxes, shoe boxes), egg cartons||Wax coated, foil coated, hard covered books, gift wrap, paper beverage containers|
|Corrugated Cardboard||Boxes||No pizza boxes, ever!|
|Electronics||Computers and peripherals, games, keyboards, printers, scanners||No monitors or TVs|
|Metal||Scrap metal, appliances, large or small. microwaves, washers, dryers, stoves, fencing, etc.||No appliances containing Freon|
|Clothing, Linens, Shoes, Bedding,||Wearable or not, regardless of season. Textiles of all kinds including scraps. Please place in plastic bags. Place pairs of shoes in same bag. Belts, soft-side luggage, pillows, stuffed toys, blankets.||No hangers|

This is an all volunteer project.
