9 a.m. – Noon:  Fire Station, 429 Gardner Street

  • Winnebago

9 a.m. – Noon:  Mercyhealth Winnebago Clinic, 102 Landmark Drive

  • Machesney Park

9 a.m. – 1 p.m.:  Practice Velocity, 8777 Velocity Drive

(Rear/West side of former Machesney Park Mall, enter off IL251/N. 2nd St. from Machesney Road )

 * Note, this one-day event is primarily intended for Winnebago and Boone County households.
Businesses, including medical clinics, doctors’ offices, or nonprofits which may have collected medications should inquire about disposal from licensed environmental disposal companies in accordance with state laws.

*Rockford Recycle Center (only) now accepting TVs, computer monitors during regular hours (see above)

Free disposal of up to 2 Televisions or Computer Monitors (CRTs) per vehicle,

TV parts or partially disassembled units included.

You must be able to lift and place units in designated bin as directed. Bring help if needed. 

Rockford Recycle Center also accepts appliances containing refrigerant (Freon); $20 cash

  • Fee per each item funds refrigerant removal and certification tag.

Roscoe Recycle Center DOES NOT accept TVs, Computer Monitors, or Freon Appliances.

Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful Recycle Centers provide a community service,

staffed by volunteers — your help is needed!

Shift can be 2-2.5 hours or 3.5-4 hours, as often as your schedule allows.
